How Age Is Calculated

Example: birthdate April 15, 1990. Today is March 10, 2025. Base: 2025 − 1990 = 35. But April 15 has not occurred yet in 2025 (we are in March). So completed age = 35 − 1 = 34 years.

Months and Days in Age Calculation

Full age includes years, months, and days. After determining the completed years, count the completed months since the last birthday. Then count the remaining days. This is where month length differences create complexity — February has 28 or 29 days; months range from 28 to 31 days.
