FAQ
How does the countdown break down years, months, and days?
The calculator computes complete years elapsed, then remaining complete months, then remaining days — the same method used for age calculations. It accounts for variable month lengths and leap years, so the result is always accurate to the exact calendar date.
Does the total days count include today?
No — the total days shown is the number of full days from today until the target date, not counting today itself. If the target date is tomorrow, the result is 1 day.
What if I enter a past date?
The calculator detects past dates and shows a note that the date has already passed instead of a countdown. Use the Date Difference Calculator if you want to measure the elapsed time since a past date.
